Photoshoot: lilac

This is me admiring my latest corner of inspiration:
Lilac from my garden, an IKEA green watering can, an old little cabinet [shabby-chic'd], black cast iron candle holder.
Repurposed: a jar which I used as a glass for ivy, wooden box - painted to look french-chic, a white spent light bulb.
Crafts: paper stars and magazine curls - I lost the link where I saw how to make them, but I'm working on recovering it. Made these for Christmas, so I can't remember, either.

Photoshoot: white and mauve/violet tulips

This is me loving these tulips and documenting their brief yet most welcome stay in my home. Tulips and freesias are spring flowers I love. And whereas I always know you cannot go wrong with freesias [the worst being when they don't smell and are just beautiful to watch], sometimes I am afraid of tulips and their very short lifespan when offered as a bouquet. These, however, were given to me as two separate bouquets by my family and seem to have been very keen of the environment they lived in.

Obsessions: Repurposing: ...little boxes, all the same... card cabinets and filing cabinets

I am currently obsessed with wooden library card cabinets. This is one clever cabinet repurposing idea, by Emily Henderson.

Or, for a post-industrial loft apartment inspiration, heavy, metal filing cabinets - by SnapshotVintage. Repurposed as night stands or end tables.

Photos taken from: Emily Henderson's blog, SnapshotVintage's Etsy. I am sure I will go back to those sites soon and often.

This is me thinking if I could possibly have both little boxes cabinets styles in my house.

Repurposing: wood and iron

This is me liking the repurposed-wood idea and all but really drooling over the iron objects in the room
