Repurposing and decor details: two corners and a half

This is me oscillating between retro, vintage and antique.

Repurposed jars - as candle holders and vase, repurposed green wine bottle as vase and repurposed ripped cane mesh from a chair, turned vase by adding a POKAL glass from IKEA.

Photoshoot: lilac

This is me admiring my latest corner of inspiration:
Lilac from my garden, an IKEA green watering can, an old little cabinet [shabby-chic'd], black cast iron candle holder.
Repurposed: a jar which I used as a glass for ivy, wooden box - painted to look french-chic, a white spent light bulb.
Crafts: paper stars and magazine curls - I lost the link where I saw how to make them, but I'm working on recovering it. Made these for Christmas, so I can't remember, either.

Light: candles and dark spaces

This is me using natural light at night. Candle corners keep the room warm-lit.

Repurposing wine bottles for Christmas

Taken from tasteofhome via Austin Wedding Blog, via pinterest
found on weheartit

This is me wishing I had a glass cutting and a glass drilling device.

And this is also me, wishing I had such a great means of finding photo sources for every post. Giving credits is rewarding.

Repurposing ideas of note: retro magnetic storage device notebooks

Here I present some "repurposed" present (gift) ideas for your friends: the 3.5" five-pack version for the hip & young and the 5.25" version for the grown-up and truly nostalgic.
Both floppy disk notebook ideas from It's Our Earth, Inc. on cosa verde.

I'm thinking these objects could make for an interesting "handcrafted gifts" workshop.

Late autumn goodies

It's late autumn and my city hasn't seen a drop of rain all season. I wonder what winter brings. In the meantime, try and dehidrate apple slices - delicious!

Repurposing: Vinyl records

"Elis Iaia was born in 1980.
Elis draws on vinyls with bedtime stories and 80's music. She recycles her childhood's records and imagination."
Text taken from her site. Not out of lack of inspiration but because I couldn't have said it better.

All images taken from her site. It's worth taking a look. There are many categories. You'll find something retro, vintage, inspirational.

This is me thinking I'm fortunate to live in the same country as she does,
being able to easily order one.
